PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
At present, the electric desalting technique in oil refinery can only remove alkali or alkaline earth metal chlorides, could not remove organochlorides resulted from organic chlorine additive which is added during oil recovery process. It is known that during distillation, organochlorides can decompose partly and enter the tower top fraction to corrode equipment.
Without any change of the technique, this problem can be solved by adding the product into crude oil before electric desalting. With the presence of the product, chlorine from organochlorides could be transferred to water phase by molecular interaction to achieve an effective removal of organochlorine and inhibiting the corrosion on tower top of CUD.
The product applies to all types of crude oil for organochlorine removal.
FEATURES
When the adding amount is 20 to 40 PPM (according to the quantity of raw material ),the elimination rate of organic chlorine is not less than 40%, and meanwhile the drainage total chlorine during electric desalting has been increased, while the total drainage chlorine of the third tower top has been declined.
APPLICATION METHOD
(1) In order to achieve high performance, the product is suggested to be added separately at different levels of electric desalting through anti-corrosion metering pump. The adding volume depends on the content of organochlorine in crude oil as follows:
(2) 15-20 ppm if the content of organochlorine in crude oil is less than 10 ppm;
(3) 20-40 ppm if the content of organochlorine in crude oil is between 10-60 ppm;
(4) 40-60 ppm if the content of organochlorine in crude oil is between 60-100 ppm.
(5) Attention: the product should not be employed with decalcifying agent at the same time and same level of electric desalting, but could be added separately.
