PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
K-PAM is a copolymer of partially polyacrylamide/polyacrylate potassium, white or yellowish powder, used as viscosifier/shale inhibitor in most of water based muds. It is also added to low-solids drilling fluids to increase lubricity, fluid viscosity, and to improve carrying capacity of drilling fluids. K-PAM is better than traditional PHPA.
APPLICATION
K-PAM is compatible with most of mud chemicals, used in the same proportion of polymer non-dispersible mud systems and decentralized mud systems. It has excellent performance in freshwater mud and saturated brine mud.
ADVANTAGES
(1) Increases mud viscosity
(2) Powerful shale inhibitor
(3) Low dosage
(4) Stabilizes borehole, reduces torque, improves quality of mud cake
(5) Be soluble in fresh, brackish and salt water
(6) Stable at temperatures up to 356°F / 180°C
USAGE
Add K-PAM in concentration of 1.0 to3.0 kg/m³ (0.4 to1.1 lb/bbl) to any active system. Mix slowly through a jet mixer or sift slowly into the vortex of a high-speed stirrer.
STORAGE
(1) Avoid high-intensity extreme pressure and prolonged exposure to strong sunlight.
(2) Keep bag closed.
(3) Keep away from heat, sparks and flames.
PACKAGE
25kg bags or according to users’ requirements.
